First Aid Kit

The following is what I take for a first aid kit when out in the backcountry. While I have a wilderness first aid certificate from SOLO in New Hampshire, I am by no means a doctor, EMT or otherwise expert in medicine. Having a good first aide kit is no substitute for good instruction and I urge you to take a first aid course as I have.

Consider doubling or tripling the number of bandages if you are going to be out for more than 3 days. Also, it is a good idea to make leave the first aid kit in a very accessible place with in a well marked pouch. I like to keep mine in a red zipper pouch with a large white cross for easy identification.
